Chapter 1 of...

The Ancient Blueprint

Every day I see people who are stressed, anxious, exhausted, or unwell. The causes are complex, but the patterns are surprisingly consistent. More often than not, the problem isn’t a single broken system. The problem is that the foundations are missing.

Modern culture tends to reach first for doctors, pills, and technologies. Those tools matter, but they are not where health begins. Health begins with how we eat, how we move, how we relate to nature, to one another, to meaning, and to awe. This book is not about treating symptoms as they appear. It’s about rebuilding the underlying structure that supports a good life.

Who am I writing this book for:

Some French restaurants place a small sign on their door: Le patron mange ici—the owner eats here.

That’s how I feel about this book.

While I hope it resonates with you, I am writing it first and foremost for myself and as things I will teach my own family. I am not a guru or an outlier. I struggle with the same distractions, pressures, and uncertainties as anyone else living in the modern world.

As I explore the research, my filter is always personal:

  • Does this genuinely make life better?
  • Does it help my family thrive, not just function?

That’s why my own story is woven throughout these pages. My hope is that by sharing what has and has not worked, you’ll recognize parts of your own experience reflected back at you.Â
