Banana Passionflower, also known in Hawaii as Banana Poka is a climbing
semi-woody vine that can entangle large stands of forest. It has a pink
flowers and three lobed leaves with yellow fruits. On the islands of Hawaii,
it is a major problem on Hawaii and Kauai with some small patches on the
islands of Maui and Oahu.
Interesting facts
The name 'banana poka' is given to the plant because of a) the resemblance
of the yellow fruits to bananas, and b) from 'poka,' the Hawaiian word
with the connotation "to climb."
