Angel's Trumpet Tree - Brugmansia arborea
This
tree is a hallucinogenic plant that is planted widely in tropical
regions because of its large showy flowers that are open most of
the year. Its flowers are often eaten as phycotropic drug. The effect
however is not a good 'high'. Instead, it causes nightmares and
bad hallucinations. People often overdose on the flowers because the
onset is a delayed reaction. When too much is eaten, death
can occur. Immediate medical attention must be obtained if anyone
has eaten part of this plant.
