Pseuderanthemum carruthersii var reticulatum
This
partuclar cultivated vairety was taken on the campus of the University
of Hawaii Manoa. This variety has white flowers with an inner red
pigmentation.
There are many other varieties of Pseuderanthemum carruthersii.
Here is an example of a dark variety.
This is a great plant to get pictures of ants crawling up and down
the flowers. I have documented several black ant species that like
to crawl into the corrola and nab nectar.
